KiTank question 1/2:
Read the following passage. Write NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS from the text for each answer.
What does globalisation mean? It means you can visit over 135 countries and eat at a KFC
restaurant!Globalisation can be defined as the way in which the world is becoming increasingly connected. In spite of the distances between them, countries are becoming more interdependent and reliant on each other, and flows of capital, people, goods and information are circulating around the globe.Globalisation has increased the production of goods and services, and now big companies are no longer national firms but transnational or multinational corporations with branches in many countries.
Although this process has been accelerating greatly in recent years it is not a new phenomenon. A notable example of past globalisation is the Silk Road, which was a network of Eurasian trade routes that existed for more than 1,500 years until 1453.
