Students, teachers, and librarians to login using the FPT email account
Students can see the updating about the new or updated books in the system. They can search,scan and borrow the interested books. Besides:
They can get the email notifications reminding of book borrowing deadlines (3 days in advance)
For the students who already logged into the FLM system, they can:
• Check the list of books they are borrowing and the relevant deadlines.
• Submit request to librarian asking for resetting the deadline to extend borrowing time.
Librarians manage the book borrows and returns. For the overdue book borrowings, the system would send daily notifying email about the penalty money to the relevant students.
Librarians and other library administration staffs can scan, update or activate/deactivate the current books. They can add one new book through the new book screen or import new books from the Excel file.
The FLM system can exchange data with the Books24x7 system. It records the book borrowing history, so that the students or librarian can access the related information for their own tracking
The Software Tools Department has been assigned to design & develop this system in-house (byyou and your team) with the target to complete for going live (system operation) officially after 15 weeks. The FLM system should be scalable to handle increasing numbers of students, courses or course contents, & the learning transactions.
