Since this is a ultrasound machine control system, it requires very high quality. Mitsu's leaders requires that the mean time between two failure must be greater than 1 year. Doctors are the main users who do not have good computer skills so the graphical user interface of the system must be intuitive, easy to use, easy to understand and supports multiple languages. The system should allow user to adjust brightness, contrast, and other image parameters. The system also requires compliance with stringent safety standards in the medical and healthcare sector, secure patient data and information transmission. It requires real-time processing and must be highly modular in design for easy enhancement and modification. In the project meeting, Mitsu's QA manager suggests that the requirements and design of the system need to be analyzed, specified, and thoroughly tested before being put into development
The USC project is a new development system project and have many external stakeholders.
