Today, however, the Intemet and international travel make it possible for ideas, people, and goods to spread easily and cheaply. As a result, the influence of one culture on another is occurring more rapidly than ever before - a
trend known as cultural globalization.
PARAGRAPH 2. For businesses, cultural globalization offers the chance to sell products and provide services to new markets. In order to profit from greater sales, however, it's increasingly important for companies to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of consumers in different cultures. This isn't always an easy thing to do. Brand and product names are a particular challenge that companies face when selling in the global marketplace.
